Summer Update from Our Principal

July 2, 2020

Dear Osprey Families,

I am really looking forward to welcoming you and a new school year that promises to be full of new adventures and learning. I hope the summer months provided you with opportunities to relax and rejuvenate.  Hopefully, your summer activities included some time with family and friends.  Now that we have all recharged, I am confident that we will embrace the 2020 school year with much enthusiasm and great anticipation of the learning opportunities that lie ahead.  In just a few more weeks, we will be together again in some capacity.  Until then, our team will be taking extra measures to clean, set up classrooms and protocols for the safety and well-being of students and staff.   In addition, we are continuing to participate virtually in a variety of sessions as we anticipate blending virtual and face-to-face instruction, if needed.

One of our greatest assets at Lady’s Island Elementary is the dedicated team of highly qualified educators and support staff.  They are super excited about working with returning students and welcoming new students and families to our nest.

We are pleased to welcome the following new staff members: Ms. Cicely Scott (Kindergarten Teacher), Ms. Jennifer Saunders (ESOL Teacher), Ms. Amanda Stallings (Speech Teacher), Chrystal Brisbane (SPED Teacher) and Ms. Sharyn Cox-Taylor (Numeracy Coach).

In closing, we are committed to rising each day focused on wellness, collaborating, and providing the best education possible for our students.  We look forward to hearing from you and supporting your child this year.  Please email me at with any questions and complete Infosnap registration when it opens on July 17th.
